this should be obvious from our various responses such as the very many "WTF?"s and "HAAAAAAAAHHHH??!?!"s when posed with such assumptions, statements, confirmation requests and what have you from various friends.
but when i sit and think about it, i suppose it's not so surprising for people to come to such a conclusion.
we get along really well. we generally read each other like a book. we're comfortable with one another. we hang out often enough. i'm a sadist, he's a masochist. (bwahahahaha! this explains the sledgehammering =D) yadayadayada....you get the drift.
but you see. this is why i believe close platonic friendships are possible (albeit rare) between individuals of opposing sexes.
in some bizzare way, it's a bit of a catch-22.
we know that any romantic interest in each other is a virtual impossibility, and precisely because of that, we are comfortable in each other's company. and it is in this comfort, that we've grown to know and understand one another better. and it is in this continued growth in comfort, knowledge and understanding over time, that any romantic interest is even more so virtually impossible.
