mood: tired
listening to: i missed the glance - sea and cake
i've always thought that honesty's the best policy. and i've always griped about people who couldn't step up to the plate when it was served. and i also thought i met someone who proved otherwise. and i've only just begun to comprehend that as much as the ideal would be for everyone to be all hunky-dory about laying everything in the open, far more unspoken expectations tend to stem from the honesty that's been dished out. in a most ironic way, honesty then becomes its own undoing.
and here i was thinking that being honest made things simpler, and left less room for miscommunication...

well, that aside. my voice is hoarse from all the cheering i've been doing for the I.A.F.G. (that's Inter-Accounting Firm Games for you lot who are not in the oh-so-happening loop of the accounting/auditing profession :P) and it didn't help that it was followed by a long night at the atrium catching up with yeemei who came back from miri for a visit, go-karting, lunch feast at one-bangsar, and an unplanned bar crawl on saturday night.
dinner at vintry was good. yay! mini success... =) a sampling of the conversations i've had over the past couple of days would include some of the following:
- "explicit" details of someone's circumsition, which also ended up fueling conversation over the next day or so (!! why-oh-why?!)
- "a girl friend is merely a girl a guy has not slept with"
- "physically removing yourself away from your baggage doesn't necessarily mean you're leaving it behind"
anyway, here are the snippets from the past couple of days...
*edit*... ok...it's taking too freaking long to upload the photos tonight so you'll have to wait. need sleep. tata. *edit*
*ta-dahhhhhh.........*

errm...i'm sorry for the half eaten food photos...but...well, yeah, firstly i left my camera in the car and by the time i got back, most of the siew yuk had gone..heh* as for the rest.. well, no excuses. i was just too damned hungry (and so were the rest?) =)

"a girl friend is merely a girl a guy has not slept with"??
*gasps in horror*
What the...??
j: that was said in response to "do you believe that it's possible for relationships between good friends of opposing sexes to be purely platonic?"
and for the sake of clarity, point 2 and 3 were not, i repeat WERE NOT spoken by me ;)
what say you my dear? =)
Appalling.
*sigh*
I guess it may be true though, for some ppl who just cannot control their hormones.
