i had myself a half pint of guinness last night. there goes my diet plan! =(

been catching up with various people over the past weeks, partly due to the fact that i'm on leave and also as an excuse to avoid (and deny) my impending doom on the 26th...

amongst others, one of the methods employed as part of my denial of my upcoming exams was a small art project to make top hats (the ones you wear, not the ones you eat) for serina. it took longer than i expected, and it did leave me with an aching back and blistered fingers, but i had fun! i must say i was quite happy with the way the hats turned out, given that i'd never made anything of the sort before =) the work-in-progress looked something like this...

over the weekend i also had to say goodbye to eng kiat and wendy, who flew off to leeds on sunday night to begin their new life of auditing and raising a family. it really was bittersweet...there we were (five of us altogether from the office), in the midst of a host people from the good town of kampung abdullah, segamat...and then the parents start tearing...ouch...

it's easier to be the one leaving, than to be left behind, no?

i want to leave too.
