mood: relaxed
listening to: something to talk about - badly drawn boy
last saturday's dinner: bulldog
verdict: must go again!!
the portions more than compensate for the above average prices, and the taste... wow. my steak was one of the best i've had in a lonnngg lonnngg time, and well, you definitely won't go wrong with the bangers and mash ;) service fell short of expectations though... lenny only got his roast beef, although very yummy, only after everyone else had finished their mains. tut*tut* but in all fairness (well, somewhat anyway...), you're pre-warned on the first page of the menu that you'll have to wait for your food because everything is only prepared upon order.

we had a pretty good night given that we had the top floor to ourselves, plus two pool tables, a dart board and our very own bar =)
dinner was followed by drinks at cynna. to say it was "eventful" would be the understatement of the year. for further details, well... that depends. =)
closed off the night with a much needed mamak session in ss2. hor-chien besar and chau sotong is the way to go (!).

participated in the firm-wide community day on monday. me gots to paints the walls of a home for underpriviledged children. check out the artist in yours truly...

we didn't get to interact much with the kids, which was a real pity... where's the meaning in that? =/ i definitely learnt more from a previous visit to an orphanage some time back...

i had never seriously thought about the knowledge of one's self, simply gained from the knowledge of one's parents, till today. so when i looked at the faces of steven, philip, david, prema, meilin, annie, danny, tommy, jane, john, kevin, ashwini and the others today, i felt a sense of loss. nothing in their words, eyes or actions told me that they felt the same way.
it is only because i have what they do not, that i am able to feel this lack of identity. i have always known the traits in myself which i have taken after both my mum and dad. but i had never realised how much of me is derived just from knowing who they are.
