i am nothing short of stupefied at how some people manage to twist the very fine threads of every situation, weave it into a magnificently dramatic piece of tapestry and then...and THEN, completely wrap themselves in it, whilst crying foul and proclaiming that the world has done them an injustice.

HUH?!

you'd expect people of a certain age, to realise by now, that the world, indeed, even the small one carved from their own circle of friends, does not, i repeat, DOES NOT, always revolve around them and them alone.

argh. where do these people come from???!

in the words of a very very dear friend of mine, "friends should not complicate your life. life's complicated enough as it is already."

in contrast to the above, i am reminded of how very blessed i am with the friends i have around me. they have shown nothing but love, care, and support. last but certainly not the least, they have been the most faithful of friends, who are honest in speaking their minds, not in judgment, but in the spirit of truthfulness. and all of this - dished with a dose of humour =)

on other fronts, i've just returned from a complete pig of a holiday - the one where all you need to do is eat and sleep. the best kind, no? =) and given the amount of time spent sleeping under the sun, i've returned as a little roasted piggy myself. heehee* although now, you'd liken me to a baboon seeing that i'm itching and scratching all over from the sunburn =(
