within the space of 10 minutes today, i received two text messages. one informing me of the passing on of a friend's grandmother...and another of the birth of a new baby girl to a lovely couple i know.
and that's just the way life is, isn't it?

i'm frustrated.
because to accept and acknowledge some things happening in my life right now, would mean that i would also have to accept that i misplaced my trust in the character and integrity of certain people.
where does that leave me?
as a friend would put it, "between a rock and a hard place".

at the same time, i must say, i still enjoy the thrill of meeting new friends and getting to know them better. especially those willing to readily reveal themselves, in the gentlemanly offer of the hand of friendship.
