accidental adventure

mood: wide awake
listening to: thanks for the memories - fall out boy

so. what was intended to be a casual coffee session with the likes of ean, eujin and pat, with the inevitable talk of paintball, turned out to be just that - and more.

like what, you ask?

a mini adventure to the old now-abandoned national art gallery, which is a pretty ominously freaky place to be at night.

and why would i want to go to such a place, you ask?

because pat's planning to shoot a mini mtv project there, and eujin wanted to see the place, and i just.happened.to.be.there.

what would possess three people to go to an abandoned building, whereby not too long ago, on a literally dark and stormy night, one of the three in question, had gone there with another two, only to stumble upon the walking dead (a.k.a. junkies), escapes me.

peer pressure kuaaa... heh*

anyway, the chicken shit one (yes, yours truly) didn't allow much opportunity for the other two to scurry around the place. in all fairness to myself, let me just state, that it wasn't the building or the likes of "i see dead people" that freaked me out, it was what would happen if the junkies came out and confronted us. and you don't need me to tell you that desperate people do desperate things, right?

aside from the mini adventure, also ended up having a two-hour long mamak session with the all knowing pat, and engaged in conversation (more like a monologue on pat's part really...) spanning from survival instincts to virus vs. bacteria to the romans to slavery to racism to the stalinist state to monkeys (yes) to the mapping of the human genome to ... well... you get the idea.

some snippets courtesy of p.p. from tonight:

"fight for a cause, but if it's money, you've almost already lost, because it will never be enough"

"i'll beat you into civility!"

"all politicians end their career in disappointment"

and that concludes my little bit of adventure for today.

good night! =)
